[Extraktion Training] Adapting the Holster

The DRAW is the most universally adaptable holster on the scenario market. This can be attested to not simply having a few “settings” or “adapters”; but by allowing the user to completely disassemble the holster, and re-build it to fit their specific gear.

The holster is composed of 3 distinct parts (as shown in the above image). *Take special note of which end is the front side; to ensure proper alignment.

  • Bottom Internal Section
  • Top External Section
  • Closure Flap

1 – Begin by sliding the Bottom Internal Section onto your gun, from the bottom, pushing it up, and back, until it hits the hand grip and covers the trigger.

2 – The next step is to enclose the top side with the Top External Section. You won’t want the gun barrel exposed out the front side, so align the front edge of Top Section with the end of the barrel.

Now overlap as much of the Top Section onto the Bottom Section as possible. The gun should fit snug into the holster. If it is too loose, remove the gun, and reposition the Top Section.

Re-insert the gun to ensure a snug fit. *As time goes on, the holster will contour itself to the gun. (Like a baseball mitt develops a perfect pocket)

3 – The final step is to finish off the holster, by adding the closure flap. Position the button on either side (whichever is convenient for you). Place it close to the top of the grip to allow easy disengaging with the thumb.

It isn’t vital, but if possible (may not be on larger guns), wedge this short end of the strap in between the 2 sections of the holster body.

The holster should now be perfectly adapted to your specific gun and draw style. Using the MOLLE attachment straps on either side, place your sidearm where it is convenient for you on your BASE, FLANK, or SHELL.

If you ever replace your gun, simply disassemble your holster, and re-adapt it to your new gear!
